  • Abdullah M Manjurul Islam, I was encouraged by the term of collaborative development which Grameen Phone and Microsoft wanted to initialize in Bangladesh. The idea most probably came from the concept of Facebook, where lots of developer are engaged in enriching the application base of Facebook and they are sharing their knowledges, concepts, ideas and so on. The goal of this project is to develop as many useful application as you can for the mobile users in Bangladesh by mean of sharing your ideas, doing the job yourself and motivate others. I can share my ideas, I can also help with the development works if proper training is available. I am currently working with Visual Basic and PHP based web developments. If the community which was initialized today by GP-MS jointly grows bigger enough, then we can call this project a "Mobile Facebook".

My Xperience with the "AloAshbei" - Ariful Haque (North South University)

Most or probably all of the presented guests as well as students will title the project something like "The FACE BOOK of Grameen Phone" as far as I thought. I must say that this is an unique idea from the expert group of Grameen Phone in the sense that the project is planned to involve specially the students of various institutions of BD. No such programs were launched before this one in the country with a view to focusing the students or the developers of the upcoming days. The main goal is to encourage a good number of root level software developers and programmers to use their talent and internal potential in a creative way. One of the most important features of the journey is the cooperation of Microsoft as well. This could a great platform for the developers who have a basic knowledge about PHP, XML, MySql, Java, J2ME and so on. The people with these qualities should come forward and raised their voice with their own creations. I, as a member of the community of the web application developers, want to propose a very little request to the responsible authorities of both Grameen Phone+Microsoft to open their door for the students at a great extent that they can join the journey without any kinds of hesitation at any time of the day, at any stage of the development process. Making so many opportunities for the programmers will be the key to success of the project, undoubtedly. Give me the scope that I can present "What's Inside Me?" Thanking You All.
