About NSU Wireless Forum
Noth South University Wireless Forum (NSUWF)is the only club in NSU that is involved in organizing events related to telecommunications. It was established in 2005 in order to bridge the gaping hole between the telecommunication industry and academic world. With the blossoming of telecommunication industry, this prestigious university set up the ETE program (Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering) degree to prepare the youth to serve the country. NSU provided labs and equipments to make sure that the students got the proper education. The only thing missing was the opportunity to actually come into contact with the actual industry itself. A handful of creative and intelligent students at this point decided that their purpose would be better served if they were to open a club where students would be able to come into contact with the telecommunication industry itself. Hence, NSU Wireless Forum was formed by the spontaneous spirits of its founding members: Shabbir Ahemd (President), ASM sif Iqbal (Vice President), Shareen Rumana Shahabuddin (General Secretary), Abdul Kadr Mustafa (Treasurer), Iffat Alam Mishu (Founding member), Noman Mohammed (Founding member). Since then, NSUWF has grown every semester with numerous people getting recruited.
The purpose of NSUWF is to bring the industry to the students while at the same time the primary objective of acquiring knowledge remains unchanged. The club is extremely dynamic in its operation. It boasts in organizing numerous attractive academic and competitive events on a regular basis and hence the members never become bored. NSUWF has been successfully organizing lots of seminars, workshops, field trips, study tours, technology fairs, inter-university contests like olympiads, quizzes, essay competitions, gaming contests etc. every year since its birth. The club never ceases to provide the students with the opportunity to learn about the new ideas and developments in the various ever-changing technological fields enabling them to broaden their knowledge and experience of the telecommunication industry and give them a head start in their future careers.
